Yuksel Seeds has announced the appointment of Nico van Vliet as Downstream Integration Lead, effective May 1. Van Vliet brings over three decades of experience in the agricultural and seed sector, with a background spanning various roles throughout the fruit and vegetable value chain.
Yuksel Seeds originated in Turkey and has ever since expanded its presence in the global vegetable industry, with a strong assortment of tomatoes, peppers and other vegetable crops. Ther company notices a strong demand for their rugose resistant varieties.
According to Yuksel Seeds, the position is aimed at reinforcing integration across the downstream segment of the chain, including alignment with retail, processing, and distribution stakeholders. The role is part of the company's broader strategy to position its portfolio in line with market and consumer demand, with a focus on collaboration across production, trade, and retail.
