On May 7, the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan, Qurbon Hakimzoda, met with the Ambassador of Mongolia to Tajikistan, Dorjiin Bayarkhuu, to discuss holding the first session of the Tajik-Mongolian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, the ministry's press service reports.
The sides also considered signing a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in agriculture and organizing the first meeting of a joint working group between the agricultural authorities of both countries.
Key topics included the export of fruits and vegetables to Mongolia, sharing expertise, and arranging mutual visits of working groups in crop production, horticulture, viticulture, and livestock farming.
