South Gyeongsang exports 3.2 tons of peppers to Philippines

South Gyeongsang Provincial Government, South Korea, initiated its first export of bell peppers to the Philippines, with a shipment ceremony held on May 13 at the Changwon Gagopa Export Agricultural Complex. This inaugural shipment includes 3.2 tons of produce, destined for distribution through a key local distributor in the Philippines.

The province previously conducted a 600-kilogram trial shipment to the region in December of the previous year. Historically, South Gyeongsang's bell peppers have been exported primarily to Japan. However, due to Japan's economic slowdown and changing export conditions, the province is seeking to diversify its international market reach.
