In the first quarter of 2025, the Republic of Uzbekistan exported 325 tonnes of garlic, generating $816,400 in revenue, according to data released by the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
Compared to the same period in 2024, shipments rose by 72.4 tonnes, a growth rate of 28.7%.
Russia remained the leading importer, purchasing 208 tonnes of Uzbek garlic. Other major destinations included Poland with 60 tonnes and Kyrgyzstan with 25 tonnes.
Uzbek garlic has also entered less traditional markets. In early 2025, Cyprus imported 14 tonnes, while Turkmenistan received 12 tonnes. The remaining 6 tonnes were distributed across various other countries.
