The Surxondaryo region of Uzbekistan, known for its early agricultural production, has begun harvesting its first melons of the season.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the harvest is taking place on an 8-hectare field located in the "Nurtepa" neighborhood of the Sherobod district.
The early variety "Dakara" was planted on March 2. As of early May, around 8 tonnes of melons have been collected and are being distributed to local markets. In parallel, export processes have also commenced.
