Uzbekistan expands exports of tomatoes, cabbage and dried grapes in 2025

From January to May 2025, Uzbekistan increased its exports of tomatoes, cabbage, and dried grapes, with Russia and Kazakhstan remaining the top markets.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, tomato exports in the first five months of 2025 reached 17,100 tonnes, valued at $17.1 million.

Tomato exports by country:

  • Russia: 14,000 tonnes
  • Kazakhstan: 1,600 tonnes
  • Kyrgyzstan: 1,400 tonnes
  • United Arab Emirates: 120 tonnes
  • Tajikistan: 18 tonnes
  • Other countries: 23 tonnes

Uzbekistan exported 122,900 tonnes of cabbage, generating $46.8 million in revenue.

  • Cabbage exports by country:
  • Russia: 85,700 tonnes
  • Kazakhstan: 23,400 tonnes
  • Kyrgyzstan: 7,000 tonnes
  • Belarus: 4,300 tonnes
  • Other countries: 2,500 tonnes

Uzbekistan shipped 40,364 tonnes of dried grapes abroad, with a total export value of $53.6 million.

Dried grape exports by country:

  • China: 9,851 tonnes
  • Kazakhstan: 8,878 tonnes
  • Russia: 3,023 tonnes
  • Turkey: 2,111 tonnes
  • Iraq: 1,546 tonnes
  • Other countries: 14,955 tonnes.
