Lidl recalls Alesto fruit bars over plastic risk

Lidl has issued an urgent recall of four Alesto Raw Fruit & Nut Bars due to the potential presence of plastic pieces, making them unsafe to consume. The affected products include Alesto Cocoa & Orange, Blueberry Muffin, Salted Caramel, and Berry flavors, all in 5x35g pack sizes. The affected batch codes are L24316 and L24337, with best-before dates of November 2025 and December 2025.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that these products may contain plastic pieces, posing a safety risk to consumers. Lidl advises customers who have purchased any of the affected products not to consume them. Instead, they should return the items to the store where they were purchased for a full refund, even without a receipt.

Lidl will display point-of-sale notices in all retail stores where the affected products were sold, providing customers with further information. These notices explain the reason for the recall and advise customers on what to do if they have purchased the products. For any additional questions, customers are encouraged to contact Lidl's customer service team.
