The Additional Collector of Sangareddy, B Chandrashekhar, advised mango growers to cultivate export varieties to enhance profitability. During a mango expo at the fruit research station (FRS) in Sangareddy, India, officials were urged to identify challenges in cultivating export mangoes and provide guidance to farmers. The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APED) will facilitate market linkage for growers of export-quality mangoes.
FRS showcased over 250 mango varieties, educating farmers on optimal management practices. Scientists emphasized the importance of marketing strategies to improve profitability. The expo attracted numerous attendees from Sangareddy and Hyderabad, interested in the diverse mango varieties on display.
