Bell Food exits Eastern Europe to focus Eisberg on DACH markets

Eisberg, a member of the Bell Food Group, has announced the sale of its production sites in Poland, Romania, and Hungary to Green Factory. This strategic decision allows Eisberg to sharpen its focus on its core markets in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). The company's sites in Switzerland and Austria, as well as its purchasing operations in Spain, are not affected by the sale.

Green Factory operates across several Central European markets, with facilities in Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, and Ukraine. The company plans to continue operating the acquired sites and will retain all existing employees. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, and the transaction remains subject to regulatory approval by the relevant national authorities.

As part of this strategic realignment, Mike Häfeli, Head of the Eisberg business area, has decided to leave the company at his own request. The Board of Directors and the Group Executive Board have expressed their appreciation for his contributions and extended their best wishes for his future. Tobias Wölfle, currently CFO of Eisberg, will succeed Häfeli as Head of the Eisberg Division effective 1 June 2025.

Eisberg is a leading supplier of fresh convenience salads in the DACH region. Its product portfolio includes chopped salads, fresh herbs, and pre-cut fruits and vegetables, serving both retail and wholesale customers. In 2024, the company generated net sales of CHF 370 million and employed over 2,200 people.
