Tech 4.0's Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) & Indoor Farming 4.0 online conference has officially launched its fifth edition, bringing together more than 800 attendees from over 300 farms, technology suppliers, research institutions, and policy organizations across the globe.
Taking place across two live conference days, 9 May and 23 May, the 2025 event provides a digital platform for indoor growers and CEA professionals to explore current technologies, share solutions, and address market needs related to productivity, efficiency, and environmental control. The online event platform opened on 2 May, with all registered participants granted 21-day access to session recordings, attendee networking tools, and exhibitor content.
Two thematic stages, one shared goal
This year's edition is structured around two core conference tracks. Stage 1: Solutions to Enhance Operations and Performance addresses topics such as automation, labor efficiency, water and energy use, and waste reduction, while Stage 2: Solutions to Optimize Plant Growth focuses on managing environmental factors like lighting, humidity, irrigation, nutrition, and air composition to ensure consistent crop quality.
"The ability to assess a farm's operations, performance, and efficiency are key factors in making it productive and viable," says Jonathan Martin, Director at Tech 4.0. "Continued advancements in technology, practices, and processes are supporting variables such as energy, automation, labour, materials, water, waste management, and other inputs, all of which are crucial for optimising production yields."
