Switzerland:

Despite declining cultivation area, good strawberry harvest expected

The total area under strawberry cultivation in Switzerland in 2025 amounts to 469.2 hectares – around 20 hectares less than last year. The area under organic strawberry cultivation is declining by a good 14 per cent to 37 hectares.

During the main harvest season from mid-May to mid-June, Swiss strawberry producers harvest around 900 to 1,100 tons per week. This year, the Swiss Fruit Association expects a good harvest of around 7,500 tons.
