Customer day showcases fresh produce tech

Kronen GmbH will host its Customer Day on September 25–26, 2025, at its facility in Kehl, Germany. Under the motto "Experience technology live – exchange knowledge – shape the future," the event will present the latest technologies in fruit, vegetable, and salad processing, supported by live demonstrations and expert presentations.

Held every two years for over 15 years, the Customer Day is a key event for the fresh-cut and food processing industries. This year, Kronen expects participants from around 45 countries, including professionals from industrial kitchens, catering businesses, vegan product manufacturers, and fruit and vegetable farms.

Kronen's Managing Director, Stephan Zillgith, emphasized that the event aims both to share the company's latest innovations and to thank customers and partners for their ongoing cooperation. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore new developments at Kronen's production halls and showroom, which together form an exhibition area of 3,200 square meters.

Among the highlights will be the HEWA 3800, a hygienically designed helical washing machine; the K650 drying system, capable of continuous drying of up to 2,600 kilograms per hour; and the KUJ HC-220, a cutting machine that can process up to 8,000 kilograms per hour. The CAP 350, an updated cabbage cutter with improved hygienic features, will also be presented, alongside the Robot Avocado Line, a patented solution for gentle avocado processing. Other featured machines include the GS 10-2 and GS 20 belt cutters for precision cutting of fresh produce, the Deconwa Prep decontamination and washing system, the KS-100 PLUS vegetable and lettuce spin-dryer, and various packaging and manual cutting systems.

The KRONEN Forum will run in parallel, featuring short presentations in English with German interpretation. Topics will include real-time monitoring of wash water quality, the latest in water treatment options by Citrosol, modern weighing technologies presented by iWEIGH, and hygiene and air quality in compressed air systems.

The event also includes guided access to Kronen's processing operations and will offer networking opportunities during two evening social events. The first, on September 25, will take place at the Orangerie in the Calamus-Areal and will include the KRONEN Award ceremony. The event will conclude on September 26 with a traditional Oktoberfest celebration at Europa Park in Rust.

Zillgith noted that the Customer Day's core goal is to inform attendees about technological advances while strengthening partnerships. "It's about showcasing innovation and coming together to look ahead at the future of the industry," he said.
